Gold loses 7% for the week

Gold futures scored a gain for a second straight session on, but failed to reclaim $1,400 an ounce by the close and ended the week with a loss of 7.1%.

June gold added $3.10, or 0.2%, to settle at $1,395.60 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile.

Prices, which gained 0.7% on Thursday, still lost $105.80 an ounce, for the week.
